Despite very poor weather 65 Professionals and 64 top amateurs from Yorkshire contested the Yorkshire Open.
Chris Hanson, Professional attached to Woodsome Hall, came out on top with a score of level par over the 2 rounds.
Tied second were James Drinkall, Professional at Allerthorpe Park, and 3 amateurs, Nick Marsh, Elland Golf Club, Justin Sloan, Brough Golf Club and Scot Hartley, Low Laithes. In a play off over 2 holes for the Howley Hall Scratch Trophy Nick was victorious.
Lowest round of the day was a 67 posted by Justin in the morning.
Nick Marsh who started his rounds on the 11th hole played 4 holes in 5 under par in the afternoon including an ace of the 18th.
